Querétaro is the smallest producer in this guide and the most concentrated in the country: a single municipality, Landa de Matamoros, with 199 hectares, accounts for 100% of the state’s coffee. It grows in Sierra Gorda communities such as Agua Zarca and Neblinas, inside the biosphere reserve. Neither Jalpan de Serra nor Pinal de Amoles records any coffee production with SIAP, though both are often described as coffee towns.
